Recording: Sotheby’s cleaners intimidated to prevent them from protesting

Listen to this recording of the shameless cleaning contract Servest trying to intimidate the cleaners and porters at Sotheby’s. Here’s the transcript:

“As you are most probably aware the United Voices of the World obviously don’t agree with our view point on sick pay and London Living Wage backdated. If you’re thinking about taking part in the protest that’s your own choice but obviously as a company we don’t support that.

United Voices of the World have ben know to protest at other companies and have in the past unlawfully entered their premises hence the additional security measures being put in place.

My fear is that is if you join a protest group and your actions cause any inconvenience, disruption or embarrassment to our client you may be accused of misconduct. In the worst case Sotheby’s could decide you are no longer welcome to work on their premises.”
