LSE cleaners recognised by Black History Months

LSE cleaners Black history months.jpg

What fantastic appreciation and recognition given to the cleaners at the LSE in honour of Black History Month. Thank you to the SU General Secretary, Buayo Twins, who arranged for these photos to go up along with the personal stories of the individuals photographed.

The cleaners have long been invisble at the LSE and have been treated like second class citizens.

However, that is all changing since they decided to get organsied and join the UVW union to demand respect, dignity and equaltiy!

Since the launch of the campaign the support of staff and students has been incredible and the cleaners are already being recognised and appreciated more. There is still a long way to go though, but one thing is for certain: together we’ll get there!
