A UVW Saturday

First part of the day: Around 50 of us met for our mothly meeting in the Common House where we had a great workshop on sexual health and HIV, run by Carlos Corredor from NAZ, after which people were given the opportuntiy to get an HIV test.

Second part of the day: We then had a fantastic workshop on employment law run by Andrew Gray from the law firm Truth Legal. Andrew had travelled from Yorkshire to be with us.

Third part of the day: After that we all enjoyed some food and drink together and then marched off to the Barbcian Centre to do a flashmob against proposed redundancies to cleaners as hundreds of visitors poured in to see a Yann Tiersen concert.

End of day: To finish the day those of us with enough energy went off to a local park to enjoy the rest of the night with friends, food a drink.

Please do contact UVW if you would like to get involved with the work they do.
