UPDATE: Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme further clarification 20/04/2020

Some further clarification on the Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme as it pertains to members.

  1. The HMRC portal is now open for employers to apply for the government funds to furlough their employees and cover 80% of their wages.

  2. It has also been announced that the 19th of March 2020 is the cut off date for workers to have been on an employer’s payroll and thereby qualify for support under the Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme. Not the 28th of February as previously announced.
