UPDATE: Those with Covid-19 or Covid-19 symptoms are now required to self-isolate for 10 days

The government has announced this morning that those with Covid-19 or symptoms of Covid-19 such as a high temperature, loss of taste and smell, and a new and persistent cough, must self-isolate for a period of 10 days.

This represents an increase from the previous 7 day requirement to self-isolate if testing positive for Covid-19 or exhibiting symptoms of Covid-19.

If you believe you have the virus but cannot take time off work due to receiving Statutory Sick Pay (SSP) please contact a UVW caseworker by filling in our “Reclaim Your Rights!” form which is available in both English and Spanish.

The form can be accessed here.

We will bring you more updates as the situation develops.
