Pride Film screening: Forbidden love (1992)

🌈 This Pride we’re screening the Canadian documentary Forbidden Love: The Unashamed Stories of Lesbian Lives (1992)! 🌈

Directed by Lynne Fernie and Aerlyn Weissman, the film shares powerful, little-known stories of lesbians who lived, loved and resisted in the 1950s and 60s — long before Pride parades and mainstream acceptance. 💜

Members and non-members welcome.

The evening will also raise funds to support two racialised queer UVW members with their visa costs, helping them remain in the UK. Supporting queer communities is a vital part of the solidarity we build as trade unionists and community members. 🏳️‍🌈 ✊🏽
