You’re invited to UVW’s 5th Birthday Party!

United Voices of the World, the trade union that never stops winning, invites you to celebrate its fifth birthday with an evening of wicked tunes and smooth moves.

Everyone is welcome to join UVW members, organisers, activists and supporters for a dance and a drink to remember our victories over the past five years and toast to many more to come. From Harrods to Topshop, Bank of America to the Daily Mail, the LSE to Ferrari – UVW showed bosses that together we are invincible!

Help us celebrate the strength of our community and the power of our solidarity with Latin vibes + a special performance by the brilliant Samba Sisters Collective.

Expect homemade food, a photobooth, prizes and the famous La Hora Loca!

Rich Mix at 35 – 47 Bethnal Green Road, E1 6LA

Tickets: £5 standard / £10 solidarity ticket

Free to UVW members.

UVW became a legally registered trade union on the 6th January 2014. We started with just a couple of cleaners and are now a leading trade union in building the power and agency of low paid, migrant and precarious workers to achieve justice, dignity and equality – or, as our slogan goes, kicking ass for the working class!

This has been principally achieved through a combination of robust worker-led collective & direct actions (which have even set historical industrial precedents), gusty representation and litigation, and the support and creativity of UVW’s vibrant and diverse community.

UVW would not be where we are today were it not for the huge effort and sacrifice on the part of so many people and groups. So this celebration is for everyone and anyone out there who has played a part of UVW’s history, in whatever way and to whatever extent, or who is looking to play a part from now on. Friends and family are also welcome.
