
MOVEMENT & SOCIALISATION RULES
On the 12th of April 2021 some lockdown restrictions were lifted in England.
The main changes include:
- The reopening of non-essential retail
- The reopening of public buildings, including libraries and community centres
- The reopening of outdoor hospitality venues, with table service only
- The reopening of outdoor attractions, such as zoos, theme parks and drive-in cinemas
- The reopening of sports and leisure centers for individual exercise or exercise with people from the same household or who are in a support bubble
- Care home residents can now have two nominated visitors for indoor visits
The main rules on socialising are:
- Social distancing is still in place and you should stay 2 metres apart from anyone who is not in your household or support bubble
- You should continue to wear a face covering in indoor settings such as shops and places of worship, unless you are exempt
- You should not meet indoors with someone who is not from your household or support bubble
- You can now meet up outdoors with up to 6 people from different households, children of all ages count towards this limit
- You can also meet up outside in a group of any size provided the group is made up of just two households
SELF-ISOLATION GUIDELINES
If you have Covid-19, develop symptoms of Covid-19, live with someone who has Covid-19, live with someone who has symptoms of Covid-19, or have been in contact with someone who has Covid-19, the government says you must self-isolate for a period of 10 days.
Symptoms of Covid-19 include a high temperature, a new and continuous cough, losing your sense of smell and taste, or a change to your sense of smell and taste.

GETTING A COVID TEST
If you have at least one Covid-19 symptom you can book a free PCR test here.
If you do not have symptoms of Covid-19 but would like to get tested you can book a free rapid lateral flow test here. The test takes 30 minutes.
