DISPUTES

Justice for Radisson Blu Housekeepers

Radisson Blu housekeepers in Canary Wharf are fighting back after brutal cuts to hours and soaring workloads. Now outsourced to WGC, they're demanding 40-hour contracts, fair workloads, and the London Living Wage.

Housekeepers at Radisson Blu Hotel in Canary Wharf are taking a stand. After outsourcing giant WGC took over cleaning across all nine London hotels, the fallout has been devastating:

Weekly hours slashed — from 40 hours to insecure, so-called “flexible” 16+ hour contracts.
Workloads nearly doubled — from cleaning 14 rooms a day to a shocking 24.
Pressure and intimidation — workers were pushed to ‘voluntarily’ accept these changes in “consultation” meetings.

Most are migrant women from Nepal, now earning just £13/hour—below the London Living Wage—while struggling under unbearable workloads that are wrecking their health and livelihoods. They’re demanding a return to 14 rooms per day, fair pay, and secure contracts.

This is no ordinary dispute—it’s a historic fight. Not since
1979 when Chambermaids walked out at the Grosvenor House Hotel, Park Lane has London seen hotel workers strike like this. Radisson Blu housekeepers are ready to make history again.

They’re done being exploited.
They’re ready to win.
