trainings and workshops

📌 Thursdays 12, 19 & 26 March – 6.30pm – 8:30pm Rep Training – The Tricks of the Trade
Learn how to represent workers in grievance, disciplinary and appeal hearings.

📌 Tuesday 17 March – 6:30pm – 8:30pm EGOS 6-Week Organising School Begins
Learn how to grow membership, prepare for industrial action, and gain hands-on experience with real campaigns, including ongoing hotel campaigns and opportunities in other sectors. Members and non members welcome.

📌 Saturday 25 April – 1pm – 4pm Know your Rights Workshop – Changes in the Labour Law
You’ll have many new rights this year — make sure you know what they are and how to use them.

📌 Saturday 6 June – 1pm – 4pm One-day Organiser Training – Build Workplace Power
Learn the basics of organising, building collective power, and winning in your workplace.

📌 Date TBC – Renters’ Rights Workshop
Learn about your rights as a renter and how to challenge landlord exploitation

We join the demonstration in central London,. Members and non members welcome.

🔴 Friday 1 May –- International Workers’ Day
We take part in the May Day march and celebrate workers’ power community. Members and non members welcome.

🔴 Monday 12 October – Indigenous Resistance Day
We reaffirm UVW’s commitment to fight racism as a union with Black and brown membership.

🔴 Saturday 21 November – International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women
A community event on preventing and responding to violence against women and girls, followed by a social activity.
