STRIKES: Low-paid & migrant workers fight back

Cleaners, carers and concierge from nine different workplaces strike together for better pay, working conditions and respect at work!!

“The most important thing is to be united. If you don’t fight you will never have anything. So let’s fight but let’s fight together. It is the only way and with our union we can win.”

Julia Veros Gonzales, carer and UVW member

Cleaners, carers and concierge from nine different workplaces across London have voted YES to take strike action!

UVW members have joined forces all with one common aim NO MORE EXPLOITATION of migrant, precarious and low-paid workers.

They work night shifts, split shifts, at the weekends, in discriminatory two tier workplaces, some in non-permanent jobs and on minimum pay and sick pay – all during the worst cost of living crisis the UK has seen in decades.

UVW members in the public and private sectors that work hard to keep their workplaces clean, safe and operating round the clock are downing tools!

Find out more about each dispute and how you can stand in defiant solidarity with them…
