Free painting classes for children of UVW members!

If your child wants to paint and learn about Amazon rainforest and the protection of the environment through painting, this November they have the perfect opportunity with UVW.

John Ponce, a Colombian UVW member and art teacher, is offering up to 12 children between the ages of 10 and 18 the opportunity to learn how to paint.

The course consists of five classes of two hours each, where basic painting topics will be covered, such as: colour, composition, painting techniques, materials and processes used in painting. The Amazon rainforest and care of the environment will be the main themes of the course.

Classes will take place at the UVW offices

🏠 CASA UVW, 144 Cambridge Heath Road, E1 5QJ ⏰ 2pm to 4pm in the following dates (all Saturdays):

4 November 2023: Class 1: Introduction to painting. Making sketches (representation of initial ideas)).
11 November 2023: Class 2: Theory of colour. Practical exercise in colour.
18 November 2023: Class 3: Making sketches for a final work on the theme of the Amazon rainforest
25 November 2023: Class 4: Production of a final work on the theme of the Amazon rainforest
2 December 2023: Class 5: Production of a final work on the theme of the Amazon rainforest
