We got a new office!

UVW is very pleased to announce that this week we will be moving into the 8th floor of the Elephant & Castle Shopping Centre.

The floor itself is very large, and is shared with great people from other groups and organisations such as El Ibérico Gratuito and the brilliant CASA Latin American Theatre Festival.

The location is great too. Being in the heart of one of London’s biggest Latin American neighbourhoods we will now be able to offer our largely Latin American membership a convnient space to meet, socialise and organise! Bosses beware!

We need pretty much everything from tables and chairs, to computers, printers, and other officey things and things to decorate it too, so please do get in touch if you can donate or sell any of these things to us.

This space will be open to all members and supporters, so please feel free to swing by anytime. But don’t wait too long because as you may know the Shopping Centre is set to be demolished next year by Southwark Council in a nasty gentrification drive.

Therefore, barring a successful resistance to the demolition we will be looking for another space from the summer of 2017 onwards. Please therefore get in touch if you think you might know anywhere.
